Muse premiered their new single Madness on BBC Radio yesterday.
The song is getting a lot of criticism, but I absolutely adore it. It's a whole other facet of Muse, one we've never heard before. BBC Radio also had a 30-minute interview with the band, where they spoke about the new album, Chris writing and singing, and their plans for the future.
The 2nd Law, Muse 6th studio album, comes out October 1st. The full video for Madness will be released soon, the video in this post is an official lyric video.
Muse revealed the track listing for their sixth studio album, The 2nd Law today.
Supremacy
Madness
Panic Station
Prelude
Survival
Follow Me
Animals
Explorers
Big Freeze
Save Me
Liquid State
The 2nd Law: Unsustainable
The 2nd Law: Isolated System
As you can see, both Unsustainable (the dubstep-like song featured in the album trailer) and Survival (the official song for the Olympic Games in London this summer) are featured on the album. I can't wait until September, to hear what the album will sound like.
Since Survival will be played practically the whole time during the Olympics, maybe they're worth watching this time?
yesterday, Muse released the trailer for their upcoming 6th album: 'The Second Law'.
I think the trailer is super awesome and I can't wait for the new album! On the internet (read: Tumblr) I've read a lot of criticism on the 'dupstep' in the video. Personally, I was a little shocked too when I first heard it, but after listening it a few times I started to like it. And well, it's Muse so everything they write is perfect.
There are also rumors of a leaked song called 'The 2nd Law', you can listen to it here. Someone on Tumblr said it was an intended B-side for the new album, and I don't know much else about it, apart from that it sounds amazing.
Other fantatic news is that Muse is going to tour in Europe this year! All tour dates are on their official site. Tickets go on sale on June 14th, but if you have a account on muse.mu you can already buy tickets. I'm going to their gig in Amsterdam on December 17th, and I can't wait! I've seen Muse live before and I know how fabulous they are. It's definately one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Yesterday on Tumblr, this amazing fanart for The 2nd Law was on my dashboard:
Today, December 2nd, is the 33rd birthday of Chris(topher) Wolstenholme, bass player from Muse! Happy birthday Chris!(or, as Musers like me call him, Chris Wolstenbeast)
