Last Monday, exactly a week ago today, Fall Out Boy officially ended their hiatus that started in 2009. They announced a new album, a tour, and they have released a new single! And all of that before 9 'o clock AM.
The message on their website, accompanying their comeback, reads:
"when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.
the future of fall out boy starts now.
save rock and roll..."

The same evening, the band played a show in their hometown Chicago. They have also played in New York and Los Angeles, and upcoming dates are London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Melbourne and a full US tour. Fall Out Boy is also playing on the Reading and Leeds and Summer Sonic festivals. I really hope they will add a few more European dates, including The Netherlands or Belgium. You can buy tickets on their website.
Apart from their tour, and maybe more importantly, FOB announced a new album called 'Save Rock and Roll'. It will be available worldwide on May 6th and 7th.
The new single, also released on Monday, is called 'My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light 'Em Up)'. It's very diffrent from their old sound, but totally awesome. Listen to it and watch the music video with 2 Chainz below:

On the internet, shirts are available saying 'I survived the hiatus 2009-2013'. I think everyone needs a shirt like that?
I'm so immensly excited about FOB's return I don't even know how to put it into words. My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark is so awesome I can't wait for Save Rock and Roll to come out in May! How excited are you?
Thank you for reading!
